  1. Ingredients:

    Roasted Peanut (Groundnut) - 1/2 cup
    Red chilli - 3
    Tamarind - small gooseberry size
    Fresh coconut - 1/4 cup (grated)
    Salt - 1/2 tsp (or as required)
    Water - 1/2 cup (or as required)

    For Tempering

    Oil - 2tsp
    Mustard - 1/2 tsp
    Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
    Curry leaves - 1 strand
    Hing - 1/8 tsp

  2. Method of Cooking:

    Heat a pan on medium flame
    Dry roast Peanut (Groundnut) - 1/2 cup, until Peanuts start to separate the skin
    Cool completely and remove the skin, keep aside
    Heat oil - 1tsp on medium flame
    Add Red chilli - 3
    Tamarind - small gooseberry size
    Roast well, keep aside.
    In a Mixer jar, add roasted peanut (Groundnut) - 1/2 cup
    Fresh coconut - 1/4 cup (grated)
    Roasted red chilli - 3
    Tamarind - small gooseberry size
    Salt - 1/2 tsp (or as required)
    Grind without adding water
    Add Water - 1/2 cup (or as required)
    Grind slight coarsely
    Our Groundnut Chutney is ready!!!

    For Tempering

    Heat Oil - 2tsp
    Add Mustard - 1/2 tsp
    Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
    Curry leaves - 1 strand
    Hing - 1/8 tsp
    Saute and Splutter Tempering
    Pour tempering over chutney.
    Yummy Verkadalai Chutney is ready to serve!!!
    Serve with hot Idli or Dosa !!!
