Description

In this video we will see how to make potato and broccoli crispies. It can be served with dips like Coconut chutney or ketchup or Mayonnaise . It is best evening snacks with a cup of tea or snacks box recipe for kids. I used potato and broccoli for crispies, you can use cabbage and onion also.. Kid's love it even for their lunch box and no left over...A simple and easy deep fried snack recipe made with besan or chickpea flour. Let's see the procedure with photos and video recipe...
Potato and Broccoli both are good source of vitamins and fibre.
(Especially add lots of broccoli in your food, to improve your immune system)

Instructions
  1. Ingredients:

    Chickpea flour - 4 tbsp
    Brownrice flour - 1tbsp or (You can also use white rice flour)
    Cornflour - 1 tbsp
    Chilli powder - 1/2 tbsp(If you need, you can add more chilli powder)
    Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    Salt - as required
    Baking soda - 1 tsp
    Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
    Asafoetida - 3/4 tsp
    water - 130 ml or (as required)
    Red Potato
    Broccolli

  2. Method of Cooking:

    First lets prepare the batter.
    Add all the ingredients
    (Chickpea flour, brownrice flour, Cornflour, Chilli powder, Turmeric powder, Salt, Baking soda, Cumin seeds, Asafoetida) - and add required amount of water and make a medium thin batter.
    (Don't make it into too thick paste)
    Cut Potato into medium thick pieces to make a good crispies.
    (Don't cut too thin then it wont be crispy)
    Cut Broccoli into medium rough small pieces.
    (You can also use cabbage and onion which will be also good)
    Drain the water completely in a cloth or tissue otherwise it will suck more oil.
    Heat the pan with enough amount of oil, to make our hot crispies.
    Now take the slices of Potato and Broccoli, dip in our batter and deep fry it in hot oil until it cooks well.
    (Broccoli need more time to cook than potato. So while cooking broccoli, keep the oil in medium hot flame to avoid burning)
    Our Yummy, Hot, hottt and tasty Potato and Broccoli crispies are ready to serve with Coconut chutney or ketchup or Mayonnaise.
