Instructions
Servings: 1 bottle (250g)

Ingredients:
Toor dal - 3/4 cup
Cumin seeds (jeera) - 1tbsp
Pepper - 1/2 tbsp
Red chilli - 2 to 3 or (5 kashmiri red chilli)
Curry leaves - few
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Hing (asafoetida) - pinch -
Procedure:
Take a kadai, dry roast 3/4 cup toor dal on medium flame.
Roast till the dal turns aromatic keep aside.
Add 1 tbsp cumin
Now add 1/2 tbsp pepper
Add 2 - 3 red chilli
(For more spicy you can add 4 - 5 chillies)

Now add few curry leaves
Roast the curry leaves till it turn crispy.

Allow to cool completely.
Add a pinch of hing(asafoetida).
Add 1tsp pink salt(white salt)
Transfer them to the blender.
Grind to a fine powder
(Make sure you don't add water)
Our delicious paruppu podi is ready to serve with hot rice and ghee!!!
Transfer the paruppu podi into an airtight container you can store for about 1 month.
