Instructions
  1. Ingredients:

    For Palak Puree:

    Palak (spinach) - 200 g
    Green chillies - 3
    Water - 1 cup

    For Palak Paneer:

    Butter - 3 tbsp
    Bay leaf - 1
    Cinnamon stick - 1(broken)
    Cardamom - 2
    Cloves - 2
    Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
    Ginger garlic - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
    or Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
    Onion (medium size) - 2 (finely chopped)
    Salt - 1/2 tsp
    Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    Tomato (big) - 1 (finely chopped)
    Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
    Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp (or 2 tsp for more spicy)
    Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
    Salt - 1/2 tsp (or as required)
    Paneer - 150 g
    Heavy Whipping Cream - 2tbsp

  2. Method of Cooking:

    For Palak Puree:

    Take Palak (spinach) - 200 g rinsed
    Heat a large kadai on medium flame
    Add Water - 1 cup
    Once it comes to a boil
    Place the steaming basket with rinsed Palak
    Cover and cook on low to medium flame for 3-4 minutes or until Palak are nice and soft
    Remove the steaming basket
    Allow to cooldown completely
    Reserve the palak water for gravy
    To a blender
    Add Green chillies - 3
    Cooked palak
    Grind to a fine paste
    Our Palak Puree is ready
    Keep aside.

    For Palak Paneer:

    Heat the same kadai on medium flame
    Add Butter - 3 tbsp
    Bay leaf - 1
    Cinnamon stick - 1(broken)
    Cardamom - 2
    Cloves - 2
    Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
    Give a mix
    Turns Aromatic.
    Add Ginger garlic - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
    or Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
    Saute 30 seconds
    (Don't burn)
    Add Onion (medium size) - 2 (finely chopped)
    Salt - 1/2 tsp
    Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    Saute, until onions become translucent on medium flame.
    Don't burn
    Add Tomato (big) - 1 (finely chopped)
    Saute until tomato cooks completely
    Once tomatoes are nice and soft
    Add Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
    Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp (or 2 tsp for more spicy)
    Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
    Mix well for 30 - 45 seconds.
    Turns aromatic
    Now add the Palak puree and 1/2 cup reserved palak water if required
    Adjust consistency
    Salt - 1/2 tsp (or as required)
    Give a nice mix
    Add Paneer - 150 g cutted into cubes
    Mix gently
    Cover and Cook for 5 minutes on low to medium flame or until paneer absorbs the flavour.
    Give a stir
    Add Heavy Whipping Cream - 2tbsp
    Give a nice mix
    Our Restaurant Style Palak Paneer is ready to serve!!!
