Ingredients:
Moong dal flour - 2 cup
Rava - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/8 tsp
Pepper - 1/8 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Hing (asafoetida) - 1/8 tsp
Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped)
Coriander - 2tbsp (finely chopped)
Salt - 1/2 tbsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Water - 1 - 1.5 cup (or as required) -
Method of Cooking:
In a large bowl
Add sifted Moong dal flour - 2 cup
Rava - 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/8 tsp
Pepper - 1/8 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Hing (asafoetida) - 1/8 tsp
Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped)
Coriander - 2tbsp (finely chopped)
Salt - 1/2 tbsp
Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
Give a nice mix
Add Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Add Water - 1 - 1.5 cup in 2 -3 batches
Mix well, make sure everything is combined well.
Whisk and mix well for 3 - 5 minutes (to get soft and fluffy Idli)
Smooth and lump-free batter is ready.
Brush oil to Idli plate
Pour batter into the Idli plate.
Place in steamer
Steam for 8 - 10 minutes on medium flame.
