Instructions
  1. Ingredients:

    For Grinding:

    Curry Leaves - 2 cup (Rinsed and Roughly packed)
    Red Chilli - 6
    Tamarind - small lemon size
    Pepper - 1/2 tsp
    salt - 3/4tsp
    Hing - 1/4tsp
    Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    Water - 3/4 cup

    For Tempering:

    Oil - 3tbsp
    Mustard - 1/2 tsp
    Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
    Urad dal - 1 tsp
    Roasted Peanut - 2tbsp
    Jaggery - 1/4 tsp (optional)

  2. Method of Cooking:

    In a Mixie-jar
    Add Curry Leaves - 2 cup (Rinsed and Roughly packed)
    Red Chilli - 6
    Tamarind - small lemon size
    Pepper - 1/2 tsp
    salt - 3/4tsp
    Hing - 1/4tsp
    Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
    Water - 3/4 cup
    Grind to a fine paste
    Keep aside.

    Let's give Tempering

    Heat Oil - 3tbsp
    Add Mustard - 1/2 tsp
    Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
    Urad dal - 1 tsp
    Roasted Peanut - 2tbsp
    Saute well
    Splutter Tempering
    Pour the paste.
    Saute well, for 5 minutes in low to medium flame
    Add Jaggery - 1/4 tsp (optional)
    Saute well for another 5 minutes in low to medium flame(or until oil seperates)
    Once it doesn't stick to pan and oil seperates switch off the flame.
    Our Curry Leaves Thokku is ready to serve!!!
