Instructions
  1. Ingredients:

    Ghee (Oil) - 3 tbsp
    Cinnamon stick - 2 small pieces
    Bay leaves - 2
    Poppy seeds (khus khus) - 1/2 tsp (optional)
    Cardamom (ஏலக்காய்) - 2
    Cashew nuts - 3 tbsp
    Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tbsp (freshly crushed)
    Onion - 2 medium size (Sliced)
    Salt - 1.5 tsp (or as required)
    Green chilli - 3 slitted
    Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
    Cabbage - 2 cup (finely chopped)
    Green Peas - 1/2 cup
    Kashmiri Chilli powder - 1 tsp
    Coriander powder - 1 tsp
    Fennel Powder - 1/2 tsp
    Cumin Powder - 1/4 tsp
    Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
    Cooked Seeraga Samba rice - 2 cup
    Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
    Coriander leaves - few (finely chopped)

  2. Method of Cooking:

    Heat a Large Pot in medium flame
    Add Ghee (Oil) - 3 tbsp
    Cinnamon stick - 2 small pieces
    Bay leaves - 2
    Poppy seeds (khus khus) - 1/2 tsp (optional)
    Cardamom - 2
    Stir 30 sec.
    Turns Aromatic.
    Add Cashew nuts - 3 tbsp
    Saute well, until cashew turns slight golden brown
    Add Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tbsp (freshly crushed)
    Saute 1 minute
    Turns Aromatic.
    Add Onion - 2 medium size (Sliced)
    Give a Stir.
    Salt - 1/2 tsp
    Green chilli - 3 slitted
    Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
    Saute well, until onions turn translucent.
    Add Cabbage - 2 cup (finely chopped)
    Green Peas - 1/2 cup
    Mix well.
    Cover and Cook the vegetable to 80percent, to retain crunchiness.
    Stir occasionally.
    Add Kashmiri Chilli powder - 1 tsp
    Coriander powder - 1 tsp
    Fennel Powder - 1/2 tsp
    Cumin Powder - 1/4 tsp
    Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
    Salt 1tsp (or as required)
    Mix well for 1 minute.
    Turns Aromatic.
    Add cooked Seeraga Samba rice - 2 cup
    (or rice of your choice)
    Mix gently, so that rice will not break.
    Finally add Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
    Mix again gently.
    Add Coriander leaves - few (finely chopped) on top.
    Cover and cook in low flame for 5minutes, so that rice absorb the spices well.
